Dear Members,
As you are all aware, the Society has been impacted financially by drought, flood, fire and now covid-19. After review the Board determined that it was essential to reduce expenditure in order to ensure the longterm viability of the Society. In a business it is essential that the amount spent on wages remains at a level in keeping with income, the Board therefore made the decision that it was essential to reduce staffing levels and restructure the workflow. This decision was not made lightly as our staff have been here for a long time and are very much valued. After consultation with the staff, I reluctantly advise that Jenny Nixon was made redundant due to the restructure. I would ask that members please be patient while the workflow processes are reviewed in order that member services are not impacted too much.
