Mr Hasan Rifat

Growing up I was always horse mad. I remember early to mid-80’s I saw a photograph of this beautiful grey mare. She looked so dry and breathtaking. Her name was Desert Musketa and I said to myself, “one day I am going to own a mare like that”, and the rest is history. I was bitten by the Arabian bug.

The majority of my working life was spent in the corporate world, from GM Sales and Marketing in Telstra’s Commander Business to NGM of Telstra’s Indirect Channels running a $700 million a year business, 897 dealers around the country and a couple of 1000 employees. I have sat on boards of publicly listed companies as well as run my own companies.

My love for the Arabian horse has never wavered. I love our breed and have been passionate about not only preserving this amazing animal but also promoting our Arabian Breed and our Society.

I have been fortunate enough to be the only non-dignitary to be invited to the palace of Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, where we had breakfast and viewed all His Highness’ amazing horses.

I have sold some of my beautiful arabians throughout the world, from the nephew of The King of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Slovenia and Hungary etc.

I believe I can add value to our Board of Directors with my sales and marketing background and my absolute passion and loyalty to our breed.

I also believe we must only be loyal first and foremost to our breed and then to our breed society, The AHSA Ltd.

No individual is bigger than our breed or our society. If voted in I will represent our breed and our society with the utmost integrity and work tirelessly to promote our breed, raise sponsorship and most importantly represent all of our breeders.
